PREGNANCY MASSAGE

During the pregnancy massage, complete care is taken that certain delicate body parts that should not be massaged during pregnancy are protected. The pregnancy massage is a gentle, relaxing massage, and is suitable for back and neck pain, fatigue, and cramping, reduces swelling, and improves circulation.
The pregnant lady is made to lie down on her side. Pregnancy massage is considered safe after the first trimester.
During this massage, two pillows covered with clean towels are used so that the client feels comfortable and supported.

KOREAN MASSAGE

It is a 2-hour massage, one hour for the face and one hour for the entire body. At Yingyang, only the best organic skincare products are used on the face during the special acupressure massage. As a result, the massage reduces dullness and fatigue and brightens the complexion.
It will help with face shaping, lifting, and firming, along with relaxing the face muscles. Meanwhile, a one-hour full-body massage will leave your body calm and relaxed.
Please Note: There is no 1-hour Korean massage, and only a 2-hour massage is available. The products we use are for basic cleaning, no pricking, etc., simply a massage with excellent skin care products that leave the face and body relaxed and glowing.

HOT STONE MASSAGE

It is a traditional Korean-style massage. Therapists will use smooth, heated river stones(rocks), which are rich in iron in the palms and their hands, to massage the body. The heat will warm and relax tense muscles. After the massage, you feel relaxed due to the warmth of the hot stones and well as the relaxing strokes of the masseuse.

FOUR HANDS MASSAGE

This massage requires two highly skilled, experienced, and professional therapists working together. You will feel like it’s just one person with 4 hands doing the massage due to the synchronised hand movements.

DETOXING MASSAGE

The detoxing massage stimulates your lymph nodes to help the body detox by supporting your body’s internal filtration system. It is good for muscle tension and pain, lymphatic drainage, and water retention. In addition, the massage helps to flush out toxins and helps strengthen the immune system, allowing it to fight against infections.
Many people like to have this massage after liposuction.

INTESTINE CARE

Stomach Massage for Intestine Care will focus on your upper abdomen to help reduce problems like gas due to improper food digestion and other digestive tract problems. If you feel bloated, this massage will help you relieve the feeling.
It can reduce bowel overload and associated health problems.

FOOT MASSAGE & REFLEXOLOGY

It helps increase circulation, relax muscles, and release energy channels blocked by pressing acupoints or pressure points.

Many pressure points on the foot connect with your organs. The foot massage and reflexology will help regulate hormones and improve organ health, and after the foot massage, you will feel relaxed and rejuvenated!

OVARY CARE

The Ovary care massage focuses on your lower abdomen. It can increase your chances of becoming pregnant and can be combined with other fertility treatments without having any side effects. In addition, the massage increases the blood flow to the ovaries, which is beneficial for egg production.
This massage positively affects the reproductive organs and promotes hormonal balance. At the same time, if you have a menstrual problem, we advise you to come one week before your period.

SLIMMING MASSAGE

The Slimming Massage targets your body’s baby fat and cellulite. The therapist will use an intensive and stimulating massage technique during this massage while using our slimming hot cream and special brush. Yinyang’s slimming massage can help reshape your body.

Note: It is normal for the customer to get bruises after brushing! If the customers don’t want to use the brush, kindly inform the therapists to use their hands only.
The slimming massage has yielded remarkable results when combined with the proper diet and exercise. In addition, the customer can inform the therapist to focus on specific body areas if they wish to only target the cellulite in that area.

THAI MASSAGE

Traditional(classic) Thai massage is without oil, but if you want to be more relaxed, we can do it with a bit of oil.
Therapists will use her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into yoga-like movements to do some stretching and bone cracking.

BACK MASSAGE

The back massage can be customised as a full back, neck, shoulder, or upper body only, by informing the reception in advance, and the time can be adjusted accordingly.

CUPPING

This traditional Chinese treatment, fire dry cupping, unlike hijama, does not draw any blood. Instead, use special cups together with fire to create air suction on your skin to detox your body and release muscle pain, stiffness, and joint pain. It is suitable for blood circulation as well.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE /SPORTS MASSAGE

The deep tissue massage is a full-body massage with intense pressure to release muscle knots.
It is suitable for muscle tension, pain, and stiffness and promotes blood circulation.

MERIDIAN SHIATSHU MASSAGE

It has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine. The therapist will adjust and promote the flow of vital body energy, primarily using her fingers for acupressure on points that are connected to specific meridians.

The Meridian Shiatshu Massage will improve your health by activating these pressure points, calming the nervous system, and stimulating blood circulation. This massage helps reduce stress and pain, though in some cases, the pressure points may feel tender, which is considered as “good pain” as the body is healing. In addition, this massage can help with health problems such as depression, migraines, headaches, asthma, sciatica, and nerve problems.

Benefits of Massage During Summers

Benefits of Massage During Summers: at Yinyang Spa Dubai

Dubai’s temperature is on the rise, and its residents experience the worst when it comes to the unpleasant dog days of summer. Summers in Dubai mean sweltering heat that saps your energy and leaves you dehydrated and uncomfortable and at times makes you feel sick. There are immense benefits of massage during summers.

A good massage helps you to cruise through summers comfortably. Choose from the different massage therapies available for both men and women at our conveniently located Yinyang Spas across Dubai.

Massage Therapy for Healthy Skin

The scorching Dubai sun can surely take a toll on your skin, resulting in numerous skin issues. Many people, especially those who sweat profusely, frequently face a particular skin problem known as Acne breakouts. One of our relaxing treatments is the Korean Massage which includes a rejuvenating skin ritual specially designed to treat Acne breakouts, pigmentation and dull skin. To top it off, you will be treated to an exquisite relaxing
body massage that has the most calming and revitalising effect on your body and mind.

Massage Therapy to Reduce Swelling

Many people have been known to suffer from heat-based swelling or heat oedema. Heat oedema is caused by excessive fluid retention in our tissues, most commonly manifesting in the legs, feet and ankles. Fluid retention directly translates to reduced circulation, which further results in waste and toxin build-up. Certain massages, such as our detox massage, actively stimulate the lymphatic system responsible for circulating and draining the lymphatic fluid from our body. In this case, the target would be the swollen areas, thereby mitigating the discomfort and pain, if any.

Massage Therapy to Alleviate Stress

Stress exists in our lives irrespective of the weather. Much to our dismay, the unbearable heat that tags along with summers acts as a catalyst that amplifies stress-related issues simply because it hinders our day-to-day activities. Massages are widely known to reduce the impact that stress has on our emotional and physical health. It actively reduces stress hormones, such as cortisol and boosts happy hormones, such as dopamine and serotonin. Learn more about our massage for stress here.

Detox and Rejuvenate During the 2021 Christmas Holidays

Everyone has a slightly different idea when it comes to what the perfect holidays look like, but there is usually one central theme- people would like to feel rejuvenated before the start of the new year. Some people like to to use the end of the year to rest and relax, others focus on spending time with their loved ones and recharge their batteries for the start of the new year. Some use this time to work on their fitness (the amazing weather can be an excellent motivator to get out there) while others prefer to set those goals for the new year and wait for it to start before working on their fitness.

There is one thing, however, that we could all benefit from during the holidays, and that is a detox massage. Our lives have become so fast-paced that we invariably make certain compromises as part of our day-to-day life- whether that is in the food we eat, the liquids we drink or the air we breathe. Ingesting these unhealthy substances from time to time can lead to a buildup of toxins in our blood, and our everyday lifestyle does very little to stimulate the lymphatic system- the system within our body responsible for expelling these toxins.

Even if we live the ideal life from a health perspective, our everyday bodily functions, like cellular feeding, lead to the production of toxins like carbon dioxide, sodium and other byproducts after converting oxygen, minerals and and other nutrients into energy.

The lymphatic fluid system works with your cardiovascular circulatory system to flush out these toxins and carry immune cells throughout the body to help defend against infections. If your lymph fluid circulation gets sluggish, toxins can accumulate and immune cells may not get carried to the areas of the body where they’re needed. Your lymph system doesn’t have a big central pump like the heart to keep things moving, so it has to rely on gravity, exercise, breathing and frequent massage therapy. So if you haven’t been as good as you should be about your exercise, diet and other such factors, you can feel aches, pains and swelling- all indicators that your lymphatic system is operating at a less-than-ideal level.

Removing these toxins from our bodies leaves us feeling better and healthier in the long run, and also helps to prevent small, nagging illnesses and injuries when done on a regular basis.

It is crucial to monitor your fluid intake on the day you get a detox massage, as it is the lymphatic system is responsible for maintaining our fluid levels. Since the primary purpose of a detox massage is to to allow the body to get rid of toxins, the massage stimulates the lymphatic system as much as possible, which can make you feel dehydrated. We would recommend drinking more than your average intake of water on the day you receive a detox massage.

The next time you have a couple of hours free and are trying to decide what to do, consider treating your body to a detox massage- it will thank you in the long run! If you would like to book an appoint, visit our appointment booking page and reserve your slot today- we hope to see you soon!

How Massage Can Help Athletes and Gymmers

Many of us go to the gym to keep our bodies healthy and looking good. In doing so, we often place our muscles under a tremendous amount of stress, causing short term damage in order to achieve long-term gains. However, what many of us do not realise is that there are steps we can take to minimise the damage to our muscles, promoting muscle recovery and reducing the risk of injury.

Most athletes in this day and age have personal masseuses so that they can receive rubdowns as and when they finish exercising. While that is not a feasible solution for most of us, we can ensure that our bodies receive the same treatment on a regular basis as well.

Some of the most important ways in which massage helps us are listed below:

Muscle Recovery – Massage has several benefits for people who work out on a regular basis. We generally tend to ignore post-workout therapy and the impact it has on our body. Working out daily can leave you with problems like tensed muscles, a sore back or muscle soreness. Massage can help reduce the stiffness, which improves one’s range of motion and reduces the chances of injury in future workouts. Massage also helps to reduce the lactic acid buildup in our muscles after strenuous workouts, which improves the conditioning of the muscles, allowing for better workouts over the next few days than would otherwise have been possible.

Improves Flexibility – Workouts often place our muscles under a tremendous amount of physical stress as we strive to exceed the limits of our muscles in order to help them grow faster and become stronger than would otherwise have been possible. While this does make them stronger than they would have been without a workout, one of the side effects of most weight training workouts is that they also become shorter in the process, which reduces one’s flexibility. Massage can undo these effects, lengthening the muscles. This improves one’s flexibility and reduces the risk of future injury, leaving you stronger and more durable than you would have otherwise been.

Promoting blood circulation – Massage can help boost the blood flow to specific areas of the body when it is focused on that particular body part, using a wide range of massage techniques such as kneading strokes and finger pressure. The body responds to these techniques by boosting blood flow to the area in question. Our blood carries oxygen, which helps to rejuvenate these muscles, undoing the stress they were placed under hours ago or during the week as part of a workout routine.

Skin Rejuvenation – The improved blood flow also has a positive effect on one’s skin. The improved oxygen supply not only leaves one’s skin with a healthy glow, but it also has the effect of ridding the body of toxins and dirt particles that could otherwise accumulate. It is important to remember, however, that this is not the primary goal of most massages, and this is simply a byproduct of most sports recovery massages. If getting rid of toxins is your primary goal, consider opting for a detox massage instead of deep tissue massage or sports recovery massage.

At Yinyang Connection Massage Centre, our therapists are trained to provide a wide range of massages, including sports recovery massage, to help ensure that your body remains in peak conditioning. Book an appointment with our team today and ensure your muscles are able to receive the full benefits of your workout without any of the associated issues that usually accompany such workouts!
